In the video, the YouTuber enters a new world based on an older version of Minecraft (the hunger bar is not visible in the interface). A cardboard box appears in the center of the screen, from which the Verity entity pops out and lands on the ground. This smiley ball seems capable of listening to the player's voice commands in real-time and responding accordingly, answering almost any question the player asks.
In the video, the creator carries the entity in their inventory and asks it various questions, such as the location of villages in this specific world. When asked about a so-called "empty village" to the east, the entity warns against going there. When discussing this empty village, the entity's tone suddenly becomes dark and oppressive, creating a strong sense of horror.
After a few days of in-game time, Verity's appearance changes, and its expression shifts to a "poker face." However, when the player equips it, its face contorts into a creepy grin revealing sharp teeth. Despite appearing to behave normally, it begins to issue strange warnings, claiming that danger will arrive in three days.
The video also showcases other terrifying behaviors, such as the entity not only mimicking the sound of doors opening but also directly manipulating in-game doors to open them. Additionally, it triggers piercing alarm sounds, claiming they are the "sounds of the night."
At the end of the video, the creator leaves the house and locks Verity inside, attempting to isolate it. Unexpectedly, the entity appears directly inside the creator's distant new watchtower, having undergone a complete physical transformation. Verity May Not Be a Real Minecraft Mod
In the video description, ThatMob explicitly states that this is actually a micro-horror short film created within the game. The story is set against the backdrop of the mod being sent to the creator by an anonymous person, containing the monster.
However, ThatMob specifically credited voice actor JustWhispy in the video, confirming that the AI entity's voice was provided by a human.
