In the summer of 2026, Gardaland Resort serves as the only location in Italy to host "Minecraft Meet the Mobs" and is one of only two venues in Europe to do so. Alton Towers Resort in the UK will launch this limited-time event concurrently.

The event was officially unveiled by iconic mobs from Minecraft. Welcomed like true stars, they were greeted by visitors eager to take selfies and group photos. Steve, the Creeper, the Chicken Jockey, and other familiar characters arrived at Gardaland to meet the real-world player community, bringing the beloved game to life through a special event centered on interaction, play, and shared experiences.

Once the event opened, Gardaland visitors could participate in Minecraft-themed experiences, trying out the fun adventures that made the game a global phenomenon while getting up close with their favorite mobs. It is a journey designed for friends, families, players, and Minecraft enthusiasts alike, presenting the game's iconic blocky world in a more relaxed and entertaining way within a real-world setting.

For many players, Minecraft is much more than just a video game. It is a global creative platform centered on creation, exploration, and sharing, where millions of players build worlds, embark on adventures, and continuously write new stories. The event at Gardaland Resort continues these themes, transforming play from a passive activity into a process of active exploration and mutual interaction for visitors.

The journey begins at the Minecraft Hub. As the core area of the event, visitors can take commemorative photos, enjoy themed snacks and drinks—including TNT Exploding Popcorn and Minecraft ice cream bars—and soak in the game's lighthearted atmosphere before heading to other experiences.

After leaving the Minecraft Hub, visitors can embark on the Baby Mobs Trail. This interactive adventure spans six areas of the Gardaland park, leading visitors through multiple Minecraft-inspired scenes in search of the cute baby mobs living there. Participants collect stamps to complete an interactive quest that encourages exploration, discovery, and hands-on participation, turning every visit into a fun-filled adventure.

From the baby panda scene to the baby pig habitat, visitors will also pass through routes featuring baby cats, wolf pups, baby chickens, and portals. As the route progresses, the event evolves into a real-world quest where visitors, aided by interactive effects and on-site installations, search for the game's most popular mobs.

Upon completing the Baby Mobs Trail and collecting all the baby mobs, visitors can redeem an exclusive in-game digital reward: a cute and eye-catching baby axolotl hat.

The Minecraft Hub also hosts several interactive activities derived from the game world, including Mob Hunt, Zombie Freeze, Creeper Countdown, and baby mob Footsteps. In designated event zones, visitors can participate in dynamic challenges that require collaboration, experiencing teamwork and coordination throughout the gameplay.

The highly anticipated highlight includes exclusive meet-and-greet sessions at the Minecraft Hub. Throughout the event, visitors have the opportunity to interact face-to-face with Steve, the Creeper, and the Chicken Jockey, taking commemorative photos and bringing the Minecraft experience—which usually exists only on screens—into reality.

An official Minecraft merchandise store is also set up on-site, where visitors can purchase official products related to the experience during the event.

Through "Minecraft Meet the Mobs," Gardaland Resort brings the game's characters, scenes, and interactive gameplay to life, offering visitors a themed event that combines play, creativity, and shared experiences.

Luisa Forestali, Marketing Director at Gardaland, stated:

"Hosting 'Minecraft Meet the Mobs' means transforming a world that has already entered the lives of millions into a real, participatory experience, allowing visitors to see their favorite mobs in person for the first time. This event is not just for those who know and love Minecraft; we also hope to attract visitors who are encountering this world for the first time. Our goal is to create a way of exploring that anyone can participate in, letting everyone discover joy through play. The fact that Gardaland Resort is one of only two venues in Europe to host this event once again demonstrates our ability to bring internationally renowned entertainment experiences to our guests. More importantly, people of different ages can play side-by-side in the same place. It is in these moments that entertainment truly becomes connection, memory, and time shared between people."
