Solas Shader Shaders is created by the author "septonious".
Solas is a new Minecraft Java Edition shader pack designed to deliver stunning visuals at a low performance cost. It was originally designed as a successor to Prismarine Shader. Please check the "Images" section to see some screenshots showcasing the shader's visual style and overall appearance.
Unique Technology
Solas may be the first shader pack to finally achieve the goal of ultra-fast per-block colored lighting and light bounces in Minecraft. Both are implemented using bloom, which reduces performance loss while maintaining great visual results.
Most other shader packs with 3D volumetric clouds suffer from an issue where they bleed into enclosed spaces, such as caves or mountains. Solas solves this by switching cloud shadow checks when an enclosed space is detected, essentially turning volumetric clouds into volumetric light. Another common issue in many shader packs—shadow light leakage and the "Peter Pan" artifact—is nonexistent in Solas.
