Overview

The Obsidian Pack introduces a complete tier of obsidian-based equipment to Minecraft Bedrock. This addon includes a full armor set, multiple weapon variants, essential crafting materials, and unique smithing templates. All items feature handcrafted 3D models, textures, and scripted abilities, providing a meaningful, high-tier progression path beyond Netherite.

Version 3.0: New Equipment & Core Balancing

This update introduces a new tier of gear and weapon types: Oberite.

New Weapons:

Big Oberite Sword: Deals 9 damage.
Oberite Sword: Deals 8 damage.

New Upgrades:

Super Smitting Template allows players to upgrade Obsidian items into Oberite-tier equipment.

Armor Stats:

Oberite Helmet: Protection 6 | Durability 3600
Oberite Chestplate: Protection 12 | Durability 5500
Oberite Leggings: Protection 10 | Durability 5000
Oberite Boots: Protection 6 | Durability 4200

Bug Fixes and Balancing: The formula and damage values for the Big Obsidian Battle Axe have been revised, and the damage values for all weapons have been rebalanced for optimal combat performance.

Version 2.0: Java PvP Core Integration

Obsidian Pack 2.0 brings full compatibility with the Java PvP Core addon.

All weapons are now integrated into the Java PvP system via item tags, enabling appropriate attack cooldowns and damage calculations during PvP combat.

Technical Note: If the Java PvP Core addon is not installed, the weapons function according to standard Bedrock Edition combat mechanics—no cooldowns and standard behavior.

Key Changes:

Added jpvp:weapon, jpvp:dmg, and jpvp:cd tags to all weapons.
Sword Cooldowns: Obsidian Sword (0.55s), Long Obsidian Sword (0.55s), Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword (0.6s), Big Obsidian Sword (0.6s).
Battle Axe Cooldowns: Obsidian Battle Axe (0.9s), Big Obsidian Battle Axe (1.3s).

Version 1.0 to 1.1: Foundations

Armor Set: The Obsidian Armor set provides immense protection with high knockback resistance (0.75) across all pieces. Each piece can be enchanted and repaired using Obsidian Sharp or Big Obsidian Shard.

Obsidian Helmet: Protection 3 | Durability 1000
Obsidian Chestplate: Protection 8 | Durability 1500
Obsidian Leggings: Protection 6 | Durability 1300
Obsidian Boots: Protection 3 | Durability 900 The total armor value reaches 20, offering competitive protection compared to Netherite, with superior knockback resistance.

Weapons:

Obsidian Sword: Damage 7 | Durability 1300. Standard blade crafted with Obsidian Sharp, Big Obsidian Shard, Blaze Rod, and Obsidian.
Big Obsidian Sword: Damage 8 | Durability 1000. Features a wider blade capable of cutting cobwebs instantly.
Long Obsidian Sword: Damage 7 | Durability 1500. Designed with extended reach.
Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword: Damage 8 | Durability 1500. Special Ability: Strikes entities with lightning upon attack. Crafted by upgrading the Long Obsidian Sword with the Super Smitting Template and Lightning Rods.
Obsidian Battle Axe: Damage 7 | Durability 800 | Cooldown 60 ticks. Triggers a special Obsidian power strike.
Big Obsidian Battle Axe: Damage 10 | Durability 1000 | Cooldown 60 ticks. The heaviest weapon in the pack, repairable with Emeralds.

Materials and Crafting Items:

Big Obsidian Shard: Primary material for repair and crafting.
Obsidian Sharp: Secondary material for minor repairs (+10 durability) and crafting.
Change Smithing: Upgrade template used for various smithing recipes.
Super Smitting Template: High-tier upgrade template required for the Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword.
Obsidian Carrot: A cursed food item that is always edible. Consuming it applies Nausea III, Poison V, Slowness I, Weakness IV, and Wither II, but grants an Obsidian Sharp upon consumption—a risky but efficient way to farm materials.
