Just Colored Lighting - Ultra-Fast Colored Shaders
For players struggling with older "potato" hardware that cannot run high-end shaders, Just Colored Lighting is an excellent choice that balances performance with striking visual upgrades. This shader pack is specifically engineered for low-specification computers, enabling vibrant colored lighting and dynamic light effects while maintaining blazing-fast performance. Beyond raw performance, it offers optional shadow rendering, texture upscaling, and robust PBR (Physically Based Rendering) support—even for light sources emitted from blocks. Furthermore, it boasts excellent compatibility with Voxy and Distant Horizons.
Designed with speed as the highest priority, this is the most efficient colored lighting shader currently available. Notably, the optional Global Illumination feature is optimized to have zero impact on your framerate, allowing for enhanced lighting without sacrificing smooth gameplay.
Please note that this shader is currently in its Beta phase and has not been fully tested across all hardware configurations. I value community input, so if you encounter any issues or bugs, please reach out via Discord. Your feedback is essential for refining the project.
I am dedicated to ensuring broad mod compatibility. If you discover in-game items that do not glow correctly, please let me know, and I will work to integrate support as soon as possible. Generally, all light-source blocks added by mods should function automatically. Additionally, you can utilize optional PBR texture settings to transform any block into a colored light source. We have even included an option to turn concrete blocks into colored lights, allowing you to easily satisfy your neon-lighting design needs.
While this shader may work on older versions of the game, I have yet to verify it extensively. I encourage everyone to test it out—if you find that it functions well (or fails) on older versions, please do not hesitate to share your findings with me.
