Better Items
By justinwustinn | Category: Texture Packs
This pack refines first-person item perspective with various options to deliver a more polished and immersive gameplay experience.
Description
This pack enhances the look and movement of most items when viewed from a first-person perspective.
- Minimal View Bobbing: Simply toggle "View Bobbing" OFF in your game settings to enable this cleaner view.
- Java View Bobbing: Keep "View Bobbing" ON to enjoy a swaying effect synced with the camera, which remains steady while walking.
- Animation Fixes: Corrects hitting animations for items like the Wind Charge, includes the Java-style Mace animation, and fixes the Map hand animation.
Subpacks
Choose from a variety of settings to suit your preference:
- Default: The standard optimized configuration.
- RTX Hand: Positions your hand further from the camera, mimicking the depth-of-field feel associated with RTX.
- Vanilla Hit: Changes the attack animation to the standard Bedrock hit style.
- Oderso Hit: Focuses on rotation only, removing physical displacement for a cleaner, static visual.
- Position Hit: Emphasizes position-based movement, removing rotation entirely.
- Hit V2: Features a more downward swing with a firmer, more distinct rotation.
- 2D Item: Converts items like glass, mob heads, and spyglasses into 2D sprites in both first and third person.
- Food Eating: Modifies specific food items into attachables for a unique visual experience.
- Hive Hitting Fix: Incorporates player.entity to ensure first-person attack animations appear correctly on the Hive server.
- Vanilla Attachables: Retains the original look for bows, crossbows, tridents, spyglasses, and shields.
There is a vast array of subpacks to choose from; select the one that fits your playstyle best.
Note
This pack strictly affects first-person hitting animations and visuals. Be aware that non-standard character skins or capes may cause minor graphical glitches with items—this is a native Mojang issue and cannot be resolved by the pack. While I have rebuilt the hitting animations for all subpacks (except Hit V2), subpacks like Default, RTX, and 2D Items aim to replicate hardcoded behavior. While they are highly polished, they may not be pixel-perfect, so please manage your expectations accordingly.
