About Allium Shaders

Allium serves as a specialized edit of Complementary Unbound, meticulously crafted to push the boundaries of creative vision and visual artistry within Minecraft.

The core philosophy behind Allium is to strike an exquisite balance between vibrant color palettes and immersive effects, all while maintaining optimal performance. With this project, my goal is to curate a unique aesthetic that pushes creative limits, allowing for a distinct and cohesive visual experience.

Version 2.0 marks a massive, comprehensive overhaul of the shader’s atmosphere, overall look, and atmospheric immersion. While this project is relatively young and has seen less frequent updates, I realized that its aesthetic path was veering away from my original design intent. Consequently, I spent the last few months re-envisioning the identity of Allium and what it truly strives to be. While perfection is a continuous journey, I am genuinely pleased with the transformation and am excited to share this updated experience with all of you.

Special Acknowledgments

I would like to extend my gratitude to the following individuals for their invaluable contributions:

  • Emin: For creating the foundation provided by Complementary Unbound.
  • Query: For their remarkable LUT code sourced from MollyVX.
  • Xonk: For their essential implementation of RTGI and RTAO techniques.

Technical Disclaimer

Please be advised that this shader pack includes code that was either generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While every portion of the code has been rigorously tested for functionality and performance, users should be aware that certain logic structures—such as specific GLSL functions or noise algorithms—were developed with the aid of generative AI tools.

Beta & Release Variations

Beta Builds

Beta versions represent our most recent developments, released periodically to facilitate public testing. We encourage users to report any issues they encounter during their play session.

The Beta versions distributed here are limited, serving as the most stable builds available for public distribution. For those seeking the bleeding-edge, potentially unstable versions for testing purposes, please feel free to visit the Allium GitHub page.

Release Builds

Release versions are stable, refined builds that have undergone extensive testing and iteration throughout the development cycle. These builds are intended for general use, offering the most polished balance of visual fidelity, performance, and reliability.

Official release versions have not yet been established.
