This mechanism effectively bypasses industry standards for "viewability" in advertising, operating seamlessly even when the host PC is locked or running within a virtual machine environment.
Given that the platform serves a user base of over 600,000, this behavior essentially facilitates a multi-million dollar ad-farming scheme. The researcher further noted that the launcher mandates a 20-minute reload interval, a specific feature designed to ensure that advertisements run incessantly without being interrupted by standard power-saving protocols.
