Tideworn - 8 sq. km Hard Survival Map: The Abandoned Flooded City

Welcome to Tideworn, a flooded, abandoned metropolis wrought by the waves and reclaimed by nature. Spanning just over 8 sq. km and divided into 5 unique regions called "Quintants," this map features optional, immersive lore baked into the environment. This is a difficult survival map that forces you to rely on your expertise to survive in an urban deadzone. This map takes place in the same universe as Mosslorn.

Have you ever wanted to scavenge through the drowned remains of a city from a long-lost civilization? This map is intended to be played in 1.20 or 1.21 Vanilla Survival Mode with command blocks enabled. You are free to break, scavenge, and loot any building or structure. There is a hidden storyline regarding what happened to this city, with lore scattered throughout the crumbling buildings. You can experience this as a rigorous survival challenge or as a quest to uncover all the hidden secrets. Chronologically, this map takes place approximately 100 years after the events of Mosslorn.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: Can I use this map for a video, server, or modpack? A: Yes, of course! As long as you credit me, do not redistribute the world files, and do not monetize the use of the map, you can use it however you'd like.

Q: Why is the map crashing when I try to play it? A: My maps are usually highly detailed and large, so they may require you to allocate more RAM to Minecraft, or require the use of optimization mods like Sodium or Lithium to run on slower systems.

Q: Can I play this on Bedrock? A: Yes! There is a Bedrock edition port available within the world files folder. Some features may be broken because the conversion between versions is not perfect, but the map should overall be the same. I apologize for any minor details that may be glitched!

Q: Can I play this map with mods? A: Yes! While this is intended to be a vanilla survival experience, there should be no issues using mods. However, please do not ask me for help regarding modding or editing the map, as it falls outside of the intended experience.
