Background Story: Seven Days to Live, Surviving by Facing Death

Your name is Xia Lan, born in the deepest time of the Yin. You are fated to bear the ominous destiny known as the "Profound Yin Phoenix-Perch."

Your nineteenth birthday, which should have been a celebration of adulthood, became the genesis of a nightmare. Your grandfather, trembling, revealed a cruel truth long kept in the shadows: the death of your parents years ago was no accident. It was a life-for-a-life exchange, a sacrifice to shield you from a fatal, fated tribulation.

However, destiny cannot be defied. The "original claimant" from all those years ago has not let go. Now, seven days from today, it shall follow the trail to come and claim this overdue life. Your brush with death hangs over these fleeting seven days and nights.

Your grandfather left you only three ironclad taboos, a protective charm, and an old zither glowing with a cold, pale light. He instructed you to head to the center of town to find the storyteller who holds the secrets of the heavens.

Since then, you have pushed open a gate leading into the netherworld. This is a world where century-old grievances are intertwined and the order of Yin and Yang has collapsed.

The wedding tragedy of Wan Niang, where the red candles could never be lit; the silent, heroic sacrifice of Zi’er; the ancient injustice of the boatman submerged at the bottom of the river; the endless cycle of the candy seller; the sealed silence kept by the monk; and the unshakable obsession of the student...

Behind every wandering lonely soul lies a broken piece of the truth.

In these seven long nights, you must gather clues and ignite the Seven Stars, solely to carve out a sliver of survival from this endgame.

This map is not just a game; it is a journey that touches the soul.

• Vast Exploration: You will delve into seven distinct scenes with contrasting styles, including an eerie and dilapidated haunted mansion, a desolate graveyard filled with the cries of cold crows, a gloomy and oppressive cave at the bottom of the river, and an ancient, solemn temple deep in the mountains.
• Immersive Narrative Interaction: Gather the courage to speak with wandering spirits, break long-sealed formations, collect key tokens, and awaken forgotten memories.
• Choices of Morality and Destiny: At the crossroads of humanity and the Dao of Heaven, kinship and righteousness, your every choice is paramount.

Ultimately, when the Seven Stars return to their positions, you will write the ending. Will you choose to sacrifice yourself and become the "Source," or tread an unknown path to become the "Bridge Guardian" who protects the realms of Yin and Yang?
