About the Midtown Manhattan Project
I am currently developing a scale-model project of Midtown Manhattan within Minecraft. The endeavor began in 2013 with the construction of the Chrysler Building. Since that initial landmark, I have been continuously expanding the project, incorporating an increasing number of skyscrapers and intricate street details.
Every building throughout this map features realistic lobby designs, elevator systems serving multiple floors, and accessible roof areas. At the street level, you will find a variety of shops, restaurants, and office spaces. Several iconic landmarks have also been fully furnished, most notably the Chrysler Building, the MetLife Building, Tower 49, and the Citigroup Center.
My motivation for building this map stems from a deep appreciation for New York City and inspiration drawn from other New York-based projects found within the Planet Minecraft community. If you are interested in reading or watching reviews of this build, there is a wealth of content available online.
Map Features
The project currently encompasses hundreds of buildings and locations, featuring:
- 20 subway stations
- 1 train station
- 39 fully furnished theaters
- 2 cinemas
- 4 congress halls
- 7 fully furnished churches
- 2 public parks
- 1 fully furnished library
- 6 fully furnished skyscrapers

Visual Experience Recommendations: I highly recommend using Misa’s Realistic Texture Pack; please note that this texture pack requires the OptiFine mod to function correctly. For the optimal visual experience, I also suggest utilizing BSL Shaders.
