Is Minecraft Down? Thousands of Players Report "Authentication Servers" Errors During Massive Outage
According to user reports on Down Detector, thousands of Minecraft players were unable to access the service on Saturday afternoon. Many players encountered an error message upon logging in: "Failed to login: The authentication servers are currently not reachable."
As of 11:50 AM ET, Down Detector had received nearly 3,000 reports of Minecraft server issues from users in the United States. The platform tracks service outages based on user-submitted information; meanwhile, players in other countries and regions have also reported experiencing similar issues.
Based on the report trend, this anomaly began at approximately 10:37 AM ET. By 11:07 AM, the number of reported issues had exceeded 2,100; by 11:37 AM, the total number of reports had risen further to 3,318.
Down Detector's 24-hour statistics chart also shows a significant spike in Minecraft-related outage reports during this period, with over 3,300 users claiming to have been affected by the service disruption.
