Crafty Cannoneers: Game Guide

Crafty Cannoneers is an intense multiplayer battle game where two teams of pirates go head-to-head. The mission is simple yet challenging: completely annihilate the opposing ship as quickly as possible. To achieve victory, crew members must master the ship's arsenal, utilizing a wide array of cannonballs launched from their onboard cannons.

At the heart of the map lies an island filled with Treasure Chests packed with Gold, Gunpowder, unique weapons, and essential loot. Constant supply runs to this island are mandatory, as you will need to gather resources to fuel your ship's firepower.

Gold is the currency of choice for purchasing cannonballs from your ship's Pirate Traders, while Gunpowder is the propellant needed to launch them. Each cannon features two Gunpowder slots on either side, allowing for a total capacity of up to seven units. The amount of Gunpowder utilized dictates the range, and by adjusting the weight between the two sides, you can influence the trajectory of your shots with strategic precision.

Ships are vulnerable to critical hits at specific Weakpoints. By using the Spotting Spyglass, pirates can expose these vulnerabilities, though landing a hit requires a high degree of aim and coordination.

Every ship is equipped with a Team Chest for resource sharing. For security, the chest automatically locks when an enemy boards your vessel. However, if they have acquired a Skeleton Key from a Treasure Chest on the middle island, they can bypass this security and plunder your supplies. Should your Ship Bell begin to toll, be warned: an intruder is on deck.

Types of Cannonballs

• Cannonball: This is the standard ammunition. While it packs the least damage, it is a prerequisite for purchasing more specialized ammo from the Pirate Traders.
• Tracer Cannonball: Included in every pirate's basic gear, these are infinite and cost no Gunpowder. They emit a green trajectory line visible only to the shooter, serving as a tactical tool for gauging landing spots.
• Hot Cannonball: These ignite a ship upon impact and temporarily disable the Gunpowder slots of nearby cannons. The eventual extinction of the flames deals a small amount of extra damage. Combine these with Gas Cannonballs to trigger a massive explosion.
• Gas Cannonball: Upon impact, this releases a toxic cloud. Players inside the blast zone suffer from blindness, nausea, and poison, while their regeneration effects are stripped away. Combine with Hot Cannonballs for an explosive impact.
• Cannonball Cluster: Launch five projectiles for the price of one. While highly inaccurate at long ranges, their wide spread makes them perfect for harassing players on the central island.
• Chain Cannonball: Consisting of two halves joined by a chain, this ammo is slightly less accurate but devastating against sails. Tearing through the sails causes significant extra damage.
• Bouncy Cannonball: After impact, these projectiles ricochet, blasting players into the air and inflicting damage with each bounce before randomly exploding.
• Player Cannonball: Shaped like a barrel, this allows you to launch yourself onto the enemy ship. Beware, as the loud, distinct sound of a pirate firing themselves out of a cannon effectively gives away your position.
• Golden Cannonball: Found only in rare Skeleton Chests that spawn on the central island. They are not only aesthetically impressive but also reward you with extra Gold for every ship damaged or enemy player killed.
• Copper Cannonball: Exclusive to the Sea Storms game modifier. These lodge into enemy ships and attract lightning strikes to deoxidize the copper, resulting in an additional, powerful explosion upon impact.
