Hello Kitty and a $10 Billion Super IP Join Forces in a Major New Collaboration
Hello Kitty and Minecraft are expanding their partnership once again, giving players a new reason to return to the globally renowned block-building world. Following the success of their previous collaboration, Sanrio has launched an all-new furniture add-on. With this content, players can use decorations, collectibles, and practical items inspired by Sanrio’s classic characters to redesign their own unique homes.
This collaboration brings together two major entertainment brands: Minecraft, which has sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and is widely regarded as the best-selling video game of all time, and the Sanrio franchise, whose brand value is estimated at approximately $10 billion. With its enormous player base and ever-expanding creative possibilities, Minecraft continues to attract a wide range of licensed collaborations. For Sanrio, this new content not only further expands Hello Kitty’s presence in the gaming space but also gives longtime fans of these characters a more flexible and detailed customization experience.
Hello Kitty Returns to Minecraft with an All-New Furniture Add-On

Unlike the previous adventure-focused content, this new Minecraft Marketplace collaboration puts the emphasis on interior decoration and creative gameplay. Developed by Minecraft partner Razzleberries, the Hello Kitty and Friends Furniture Add-On introduces more than 20 craftable furniture items. These pieces are designed around Hello Kitty and several other beloved Sanrio characters. Players can currently purchase the content through the Minecraft Marketplace for 1,510 Minecoins, or approximately $8.99.
This furniture set is more than simple cosmetic decoration. Players can mine gems to unlock additional furniture, while a new vending machine mechanic provides another way to obtain decorative items. Some furniture pieces have also been redesigned with more extensive functionality, allowing them not only to beautify builds but also to add more interactive elements to players’ everyday gameplay.
Several fan-favorite characters have their own themed collections. Hello Kitty’s iconic red bow appears on beds, table lamps, loveseats, and other household items. Kuromi, meanwhile, features a darker aesthetic, with gothic sofas, vanities, candlesticks, and decorations incorporating her signature black ears and skull motif. Cinnamoroll also has a dedicated furniture collection, including cloud-themed furniture, rainbow elements, and star-themed vanities. In addition, players can claim a free Keroppi outfit and receive character skins inspired by Hello Kitty and Kuromi.
Minecraft Continues Its Successful Sanrio Collaboration

This furniture expansion builds directly on the Hello Kitty and Friends DLC previously released by Razzleberries. The DLC launched in February 2025 and introduced a freely explorable Sanrio village where players could meet My Melody, Pompompurin, Pochacco, Cinnamoroll, Badtz-Maru, and Hello Kitty herself.
In addition to its familiar cast of characters, the original DLC added farming mechanics, themed animals, and seasonal events, setting it apart from a traditional Minecraft world. In other words, it did not simply place character designs into the game but instead created a more complete experience built around the Sanrio theme.
Even with the all-new furniture add-on now available, the original DLC remains an important part of the collaboration. Players can still take part in rotating seasonal events, such as egg hunts and pumpkin-carving festivals. The experience also includes more than 180 Hello Kitty-themed crafting recipes. The new furniture pack serves more as an addition to the existing content than a replacement, giving returning players even more ways to decorate builds, plan spaces, and express their creativity.
The Hello Kitty and Friends DLC and Hello Kitty and Friends Furniture Add-On are currently available separately through the Minecraft Marketplace, each priced at 1,510 Minecoins. Both are compatible with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices through Bedrock Edition’s cross-platform system.
With another major collaboration now officially live, Sanrio has once again proven that Hello Kitty remains an exceptionally adaptable crossover character in the gaming world. Whether through adventure and exploration, seasonal events, or furniture arrangement and building, she fits naturally into Minecraft’s ever-expanding blocky universe.
