Volatile Sulfur

  • Generates naturally in the Sulfur Cave biome.
  • Can be crafted using 9 Sulfur.
  • Generates upward-moving bubbles in water source blocks up to 4 blocks above it; yellow smoke particles are generated when the bubbles reach the surface.
    • Mobs touching this water surface will receive the Nausea effect.
  • When placed beneath a water source, waterlogged scaffolding, or waterlogged blocks without collision volume that are 1-4 blocks high, and with air or a block without collision volume 1 block above the water, a geyser will form on the water surface. When the geyser erupts, it acts like a bubble column, pushing entities above it upward.
    • When placed on top of Magma Blocks, the geyser erupts periodically; the duration of eruption and dormancy is determined by the block's position.
    • When placed on top of Lava, the geyser erupts continuously, but the sound is slightly quieter than when placed on Magma Blocks.

Sulfur Spike

  • A block similar to Pointed Dripstone.
  • Generates naturally on Sulfur in the Sulfur Cave biome.
  • Forms a stalactite when placed on the bottom surface of a block, and a stalagmite when placed on the top surface.
  • Under specific conditions, if a stalactite has Sulfur above it, it will grow slowly and cause a stalagmite to grow slowly on the block below.
  • Adjacent stalagmite tips and stalactite tips will connect to form a stone column, unless placed while sneaking.
  • Stalagmite forms are destroyed if there is no supporting block beneath them.
  • Unlike Pointed Dripstone, falling onto the tip of a stalagmite does not increase fall damage.
  • Stalactite forms become falling blocks if there is no supporting block above them.
  • Falling stalactites deal significant damage to entities.
  • Stalactites do not drip water or lava like Pointed Dripstone.
  • Can be destroyed by being hit with a Trident.
